ASTRA: Fire breaks out near key Moscow oil refinery PHOTO/VIDEO
A fire was reported near Dzerzhinskoye Highway, Building 1, in the Moscow region, OSINT monitoring project ASTRA reports.
Based on geolocation analysis conducted by ASTRA, the address corresponds to an office building occupied by several companies. Analysts suggested that the blaze may have been caused either by the operation of Russian air defence systems or by debris from a downed unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).
The incident occurred approximately 900 metres from the Gazprom Neft Moscow Refinery (Gazpromneft-MNPZ), a major oil-processing facility that has previously been targeted in drone attacks. A residential complex in the Novye Kotelniki district, located about 730 metres from the reported fire site, has also reportedly been affected by UAV strikes in the past.
Earlier, Moscow Region Governor Andrey Vorobyov stated that drone debris had struck the roof of the Mega Belaya Dacha shopping centre, sparking a fire. The shopping mall was subsequently closed temporarily due to technical reasons.
ASTRA also released footage purportedly showing Russian air defence systems operating over Moscow.
