ASTRA: Lukoil refinery in Russia's Perm hit for third time in nine days PHOTO / VIDEO
A refinery operated by Lukoil in Russia’s Perm region has been struck for the third time in nine days, according to the OSINT analysis group ASTRA.
The facility, Lukoil-Permnefteorgsintez (PNOS), was reportedly hit on 8 May. Eyewitness footage published by ASTRA showed the impact within the industrial perimeter, around 5.5 kilometres from a parking area near the Planeta shopping centre.
Local authorities confirmed that an “industrial enterprise” had been targeted but did not name the site. Regional reports suggested that some schools suspended classes and carried out precautionary evacuations.
The refinery is among Russia’s largest oil-processing plants, with a capacity exceeding 13 million tonnes a year. It produces petrol, diesel, aviation kerosene and lubricants for both domestic use and export markets.
ASTRA said the plant had previously been targeted on April 30 and May 7, making this the third reported incident in under two weeks.
