ASTRA: Rostov-on-Don in Russia comes under massive drone attack VIDEO

Rostov-on-Don in Russia has come under a massive drone attack, with residents reporting explosions and posting footage of air-defence activity, according to the Russian independent outlet ASTRA.

Alexander Skryabin, head of Rostov-on-Don, said on his Telegram channel at around 2 a.m. that air-defence forces were operating. He urged residents to leave the streets and remain calm.

Residents commenting on local reports said they had not heard air-raid sirens and complained about a lack of information on functioning bomb shelters in the city.

At the same time, ASTRA readers reported that the attack had begun around midnight.

Rostov-on-Don had also been placed under a UAV threat alert on the night of September 17. Local residents subsequently posted footage showing a large-scale fire.

According to an OSINT analysis by ASTRA, the fire was located on the grounds of a military airfield.
