Attempted break-in at military facility foiled in Arys, Kazakhstan

Kazakh authorities successfully stopped an attempted break-in at a military facility in Arys, Kazinform reported, citing the Shymkent garrison press service.

The incident took place on September 19 at an Armed Forces unit. A guard on duty spotted unknown individuals approaching the restricted area and acted strictly in accordance with Guard Duty Regulations.

Thanks to the guard’s prompt actions, the intruders were stopped.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances, with preliminary reports suggesting a possible attempt to steal non-ferrous metals.

Final conclusions will be drawn based on the investigation results.
