Audi сollides with freight train in Kazakhstan, injuring five
A freight train and an Audi collided on a railway section in Kazakhstan’s Karaganda region, injuring all five people who were in the car, including a child.
The crash occurred between the Karaganda-Sortirovochnaya and Kulaygyr stations when the Audi’s driver attempted to cross the tracks, Caliber.Az reports via Kazakh media.
Regional police said that, according to preliminary findings, the 35-year-old driver had allegedly ignored a red signal and driven onto the crossing, leading to the collision. Authorities have opened a criminal case and launched an investigation.
No fatalities were reported, but the driver and four passengers were transported to a hospital. Health officials said two of the injured were admitted to intensive care, while the remaining three were placed in standard wards.
All five were described as being in stable condition and receiving the necessary medical treatment.
