Authorities uncover large stockpile of ammunition in Azerbaijan’s Shusha
A substantial stockpile of weapons and ammunition has been uncovered in Shusha, said a joint statement by the State Security Service of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Demining Agency.
The discovery was made during coordinated operations aimed at identifying and dismantling illegal arsenals hidden within the Karabakh region, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
These efforts, conducted by the State Security Service in close collaboration with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, led to the seizure of a large quantity of firearms and explosives concealed in the village of Kichik Galadarasi, in Shusha district.
Authorities have emphasized that the operation forms part of an ongoing campaign to locate and neutralize illicit weapon stockpiles that pose a threat to regional security and stability. The joint statement highlighted that the investigative and intelligence activities remain active as agencies continue their efforts to prevent the proliferation of unauthorized arms in the area.
