Ayatollah Sistani calls for collective jihad to defend Iran’s Islamic Revolution

The leader of Shia Muslims in Iraq, Ayatollah Sistani, has issued a fatwa calling for collective jihad to defend the Islamic Revolution of Iran.

According to the press service of the IRGC, “Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Sistani, one of the highest Shia religious authorities in Iraq, in response to a religious inquiry (istifta) from one of his followers, emphasized the obligation of collective jihad to defend the Islamic Revolution of Iran.”
