Azerbaijan, ADB discuss Partnership Strategy for 2025–2029

On 15 April 2026, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population Anar Aliyev held a meeting with the Director General for Central and West Asia of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Leah Gutierrez.

The meeting focused on the implementation of joint projects and the results achieved so far, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population.

The sides discussed the positive outcomes of the project “Strengthening ADB support in social protection to achieve Sustainable Development Goals,” and emphasised the importance of the Partnership Strategy for 2025–2029 in expanding bilateral cooperation.

Leah Gutierrez expressed satisfaction with the progress of cooperation achieved over the previous period and voiced confidence that joint activities would continue successfully under new projects.

The meeting also covered upcoming work within a new regional technical assistance project in the field of labour, as well as future areas of cooperation in employment and social protection.
