Azerbaijan among top investors in Türkiye in first half of 2025, Erdoğan's office says
Azerbaijan is among the countries that invested the largest volume of foreign direct investment (FDI) in Türkiye’s economy during the first half of 2025, said Burak Dadlıoğlu, head of the Investment and Finance Office of the Turkish President’s Administration.
In a report on investments in Türkiye’s economy from January through June of 2025, Dadlıoğlu noted that the highest volume of foreign direct investment in Türkiye during the mentioned period came from the Netherlands, followed by Kazakhstan, the US, Germany, and Azerbaijan, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
“In the first half of the year, a total of 6.3 billion dollars in foreign direct investments were made in Türkiye, which is 27.1% more than in January–June of last year. This is further evidence of investors’ confidence in the government’s economic program,” said the representative of the Turkish presidential administration.
According to the Turkish Foreign Investors Association (YASED), Azerbaijan accounted for 5% of the foreign direct investments in Türkiye’s economy in January–June 2025.
Overall, since 2002 until today, a total of 281 billion dollars in foreign direct investments have been made in the Turkish economy.
