Baku, Minsk strengthen ties in emergency management
Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov met with Belarusian Minister for Emergency Situations Vadim Sinyavsky on September 25.
Satisfaction with the high level of the Azerbaijan-Belarus intergovernmental relations and the crucial role of both presidents in fostering dynamic development across the full spectrum of bilateral cooperation was highlighted, the Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers told Caliber.Az.
The sides emphasised the establishment of a long-term partnership between the ministries of emergency situations of the two countries in disaster prevention and response, including experience exchange and personnel training.
The importance of signing a Comprehensive Action Plan for 2025–2027, aimed at implementing the Cooperation Agreement between the ministries of emergency situations of Azerbaijan and Belarus established in 2006, was also underscored.
The prospects for enhancing Azerbaijani-Belarusian cooperation in disaster prevention and response were discussed during the meeting. The sides exchanged views on the supply of firefighting equipment, highlighting opportunities for future collaboration in this sphere.
