Azerbaijan controls both Karabakh and all major arteries of Armenia Cold shower from Van Hambardzumyan
All strategic heights from Gafan to Jermuk (Istisu - Ed.) came under the full control of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces.
Armenian military expert Van Hambardzumyan stated this on the air of the “In fact” programme on the Past.Info channel, according to Caliber.Az.
According to him, important arteries pass under these heights, through which, among other things, military units as well as the cities of Armenia, which are also under the control of Azerbaijan, are supplied.
Answering the presenter's question about what awaits Karabakh in the event of signing of a peace treaty between Baku and Yerevan, V. Hambardzumyan replied: “I will say frankly: everything is over with Nagorno-Karabakh. Azerbaijan will take the rest of Karabakh and that will be the end of it. The Armenians living there will move to Armenia.
As for the Russian peacekeepers, they can stay there until 2025 at the most, although I don't think we should rely rely on that. Firstly, the peacekeepers are not there forever, and secondly, there are not too many issues they decide there. I honestly say that everything is over with Karabakh.
But I warned that Armenia was not ready for war, that the balance of power was upset. There was only one person in all of Armenia who said that Azerbaijan would win the war, and that person was me. And now it’s too late, you reap what you sow.”
