Azerbaijan, Georgia to maintain economic, educational, tourism, cultural cooperation

Georgia's Kvemo Kartli region governor has said that cooperation between Kvemo Kartli and Azerbaijani cities will be continued.

"Our efforts to further develop fruitful cooperation between the Kvemo Kartli region and Azerbaijani cities in the fields of economy, education, tourism and culture, and to deepen ties between our cities and peoples will continue," Report informs, quoting Kvemo Kartli Region Governor Giorgiy Dokhturishvili.

He said that part of the population of the Kvemo Kartli region is ethnic Azerbaijanis. That is why the expansion of intersectoral ties, mutual cooperation and deepening of close friendly ties with Azerbaijan are important for regional development.

He noted that there is a long history of friendship and cooperation between Georgia and Azerbaijan.
