As part of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s state visit to Kazakhstan, a delegation led by Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev visited the Astana Hub international innovation cluster, where they met with key figures from Kazakhstan’s startup and tech ecosystem.
The visit centered on expanding digital cooperation between the two countries and identifying new areas for joint development in technology and innovation. Discussions covered a range of topics including startup collaboration, digital infrastructure, and opportunities for long-term partnerships in the tech sector, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
During the visit, the Azerbaijani delegation was introduced to a number of technological solutions currently being implemented in Kazakhstan across various sectors such as ecology, logistics, education, urban mobility, and artificial intelligence.
Among the innovations presented were Green Public, a service that calculates users' carbon footprints and offers tree planting as an offset option; Biny, a digital logistics platform; and Codiplay, an educational system designed to teach children programming and robotics.
The delegation also explored platforms like the international ride-hailing service inDrive, the AMAN SOS emergency response service, the Yume rental marketplace, and AI-driven solutions such as WeGlobal AI, which supports stress diagnostics and career guidance for schoolchildren, and Shai Pro, a corporate AI platform for automating business processes.
Representatives from Astana Hub shared the cluster’s mission, infrastructure, and current activities, emphasising its growing role as a launchpad for international tech teams. The Hub expressed interest in strengthening ties with Azerbaijan’s digital ecosystem and supporting potential collaborative projects.
Startups such as Biny and AMAN were of particular interest to the Azerbaijani side, as both countries look to extend their strategic partnership beyond traditional areas like energy and logistics into the fast-growing fields of digital transformation and innovation.
