SOCAR imports first shipment of Italian petrol to Georgia

SOCAR Georgia Petroleum, a subsidiary of Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR, has imported 5,000 tonnes of petrol from Italy to Georgia.

The first shipment was delivered to Georgia aboard a SOCAR vessel, marking the company’s first such import from Italy, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

The shipment also represented the first direct commercial transaction between SOCAR Georgia Petroleum and Italiana Petroli, more than 99% of which was acquired by SOCAR in September 2025.
