Azerbaijan, Senegal discuss cooperation in digital development, innovation PHOTO

Azerbaijan and Senegal have discussed opportunities to expand cooperation in digital development, public-service digitalisation and innovation during a meeting in Baku.

Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Hasanov met with a Senegalese delegation led by Minister of Public Service, Labour and Public Administration Reform Mamadou Lamine Diante, according to Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, Caliber.Az reports per local media.

The Senegalese delegation’s visit was organised with the support of the Labour Centre of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation.

The sides reviewed work carried out under memorandums of understanding signed in December 2025. The Senegalese delegation also presented its country’s agenda for the digital transformation of public services.

“The meeting participants exchanged views on promising areas of cooperation, focusing on the exchange of experience in the digitalisation of public services, particularly regarding the 'myGov' platform. The importance of advanced training for civil servants in the fields of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity was emphasised, and opportunities for supporting the startup ecosystem were also considered,” the ministry said.

The discussions focused on sharing experience in digital public services, including Azerbaijan’s myGov platform, as well as training civil servants in artificial intelligence and cybersecurity and supporting startup ecosystems.
