Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan sign memorandum of strategic partnership on Trans-Caspian project PHOTO
The Azerbaijani and Kazakh AzerTelecom and Kazakhtelecom leading telecommunications companies have signed a memorandum of strategic partnership on the project of laying an optical fiber communication line along the bottom of the Caspian Sea as part of the Digital Bridge international technology forum in Kazakhstan’s Astana city.
The document envisages a strategic partnership between the two operators within the Trans-Caspian fiber-optic cable project along the Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan route, Report informs.
AzerTelecom, part of NEQSOL Holding, is Azerbaijan's leading communications operator ensuring the country's connection to the international internet network.
Kazakhtelecom is the biggest telecommunications company in Kazakhstan having the status of a national communications operator.
