Azerbaijan licenses two TV channels to broadcast to Garabagh

An extraordinary meeting of the Audiovisual Council has been held.

The successful and rapid local anti-terrorism measures carried out by Azerbaijan in the Garabagh economic region, the regional situation after the recent events, information support for the population in the area and the reintegration of the region into the national information system, as well as the appeals of Baku TV LLC and Azerbaijan Television and Radio LLC to obtain licenses were discussed at the meeting, the Audiovisual Council told APA.

Taking into account the urgency of creating objective and prompt information support for the population living in the Garabagh economic region, the Audiovisual Council of Azerbaijan decided to grant licenses to Baku TV LLC for satellite broadcasting (Baku TV) and Azerbaijan Television and Radio LLC (Azerbaijan International Radio).
