Azerbaijan may freeze French officials’ assets
If any assets of French officials are found in Azerbaijan, they can be frozen.
The issue came online in a statement adopted by the Azerbaijani parliament after the French Senate adopted an anti-Azerbaijani resolution on November 15, 2022, Report informs.
Considering France's constant anti-Azerbaijani activities, the parliament called on the Azerbaijani government to take the relevant measures.
Moreover, the parliament also urged the Azerbaijani government to reconsider energy cooperation with French companies.
Meanwhile, Azerbaijani Deputy Speaker Fazail Ibrahimli recalled crimes committed by Armenia and France during a speech at the plenary session of the parliament on November 16.
"Why does France love Armenia so much?! If you look at history, each of these countries has committed many murders. It means that in their genetic code lies the murder of people, the perpetration of genocides," Report cites, Ibrahimli as saying.
He noted that the resolution of the French Senate was adopted not only out of love for Armenians.
"It is fueled by historical opposition to strengthening the Turkic states," he said.
