Global voices convene in Azerbaijan to counter anti-Muslim hate Report by Euronews
A recent Euronews report covered the third International Conference on Combating Islamophobia held in Baku, Azerbaijan’s capital.
The event drew over 120 guests from 40 countries, including scholars, activists, and faith leaders, all gathered to address the growing global reports of Islamophobia.
Under the theme “Unveiling Bias and Shattering Stigmas,” the conference focused on the increase in anti-Muslim sentiment worldwide. Speakers highlighted how social media, far-right ideologies, and misinformation have fueled discrimination against Muslims.
The forum emphasised the importance of interfaith dialogue, cooperation, and global action. One key initiative introduced was a new digital observatory designed to track Islamophobia incidents worldwide.
Azerbaijan’s leadership called for unity and urged the implementation of UN resolutions, stressing the need for shared solutions to protect human rights and promote religious tolerance.
