Azerbaijan, UAE discuss expanding defence industry cooperation

Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Defence Industry Mehman Bakhishov met on April 29 with a delegation led by Saeed bin Mubarak Al Hajeri to discuss prospects for expanding cooperation in the defence sector.

During the meeting, Bakhishov briefed the delegation on the achievements of Azerbaijan’s defence industry and ongoing projects, Caliber.Az reports per the ministry. 

Al Hajeri highlighted the significant potential for strengthening cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates in this field.

The sides reviewed the current state and future prospects of their partnership, including opportunities for joint projects, technology exchange, and sharing expertise.

They also discussed ways to expand cooperation between specific enterprises in the defence industry.
