Azerbaijan highlights global diaspora network during meeting with Polish mufti Photo
Azerbaijan currently operates 32 “Azerbaijan Houses” across 20 countries, including two in Poland’s major cities, Warsaw and Kraków, State Committee for Diaspora Affairs Head Fuad Muradov told Polish mufti Tomasz Miśkiewicz, who is on an official visit to the country.
The discussions highlighted the presence of a sizable Azerbaijani community in Poland, with both sides noting the community’s active role in social, political, and cultural life, as well as its successful integration into Polish society, Caliber.Az reports.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Miśkiewicz was awarded Azerbaijan’s “For Merit in Diaspora Activities” medal in recognition of his contributions. He described the honour as a strong sign of trust and appreciation from the Azerbaijani state.
