Envoy: Azerbaijan, Netherlands set for next round of political consultations

Another round of political consultations between Azerbaijan and the Netherlands is set to take place in the second half of the year, according to Marianne de Jong, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Azerbaijan, who spoke at a press briefing.

She noted that the upcoming consultations will be hosted in the Netherlands, with the exact date still under discussion, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

"The date will be finalized soon. This is another positive outcome of the previous consultations. This time, they will be held in The Hague. Our foreign ministries are also in close contact at the working level. Of course, I maintain close contact with your ambassador in The Hague, as well as at the ministerial level, as our minister is in constant contact with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov.

There have also been instances of direct bilateral contact, particularly during the evacuation of our personnel from Tehran. At that time, the two ministers had a warm telephone conversation during which gratitude was expressed to Azerbaijan for its assistance," the ambassador said.
