Graduates take oath at Combined Arms Army’s commando ceremony in Azerbaijan
The Combined Arms Army has recently held a formal ceremony to celebrate the graduation of its latest Commando Initial Course in Azerbaijan, during which the graduates took the commando oath.
The event opened with a solemn moment of silence to honour the memory of Azerbaijani national leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives defending Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity. This tribute was followed by the performance of the Azerbaijani national anthem, the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry told Caliber.Az.
Officials and speakers congratulated the graduates, emphasising the vital role such courses play in enhancing the professionalism of servicemen and strengthening the combat capabilities of military units. Upon successful completion of the course, the graduates took the commando oath, pledging their commitment to service. The course leader then symbolically affixed an emblem to a ceremonial stump, marking this significant milestone. The ceremony concluded with a formal military march-past, as personnel paraded in front of the grandstand to the stirring accompaniment of a military march.
