Azerbaijan-Pakistan cooperation boosted with new strategic dialogue

07 June 2025 16:03

On June 7, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held a phone conversation with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar.

The Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs told Caliber.Az that the two officials discussed various topics concerning Azerbaijani-Pakistani partnership, as well as different aspects of both bilateral and multilateral cooperation.

Both sides expressed satisfaction with the increasing frequency of high-level and senior-level reciprocal visits.

The conversation also covered issues stemming from talks held during the Azerbaijan-Türkiye-Pakistan summit in Lachin, preparations for the upcoming meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation scheduled for June 21–22 in Istanbul, and planning for the Economic Cooperation Organisation summit that Azerbaijan will host in July this year.

Additionally, the ministers exchanged views on regional matters of shared interest.
