Azerbaijan, Pakistan strengthen military cooperation PHOTO

First Deputy Minister of Defense - Chief of General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army Colonel General Karim Valiyev has met with a delegation led by the Pakistani Director General of Joint Staff Lieutenant General Ahsan Gulrez, who is on a visit to the country.

Karim Valiyev hailed the developing friendly and brotherly relations between the two countries, as well as Azerbaijani-Pakistani ties and strategic partnership. He emphasized the importance of joint trilateral military exercises with the involvement of Azerbaijan, Pakistan and Türkiye in terms of exchange of experience between the armies and further improvement of professionalism of servicemen, the ministry told Caliber.Az.

Ahsan Gulrez underlined the need to expand such meetings and interaction to further strengthen relations between the two countries.

Following the meeting, the sides exchanged views on prospects for development of military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Pakistan and other issues of mutual interest.
