Ruling party takes clear lead in Armenian parliamentary elections

Armenia’s ruling Civil Contract party, led by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, is leading the parliamentary elections with 56.7% of the vote, according to exit poll data.
According to the party’s website Civic News, cited by Caliber.Az, the figures are based on exit polls.
According to the published data, the Strong Armenia party, associated with Russian businessman of Armenian descent Samvel Karapetyan, is receiving 17.5% of the vote.
The Central Election Commission of Armenia has not yet announced the official results of the vote.
