Azerbaijan, Poland reaffirm commitment to deepening diplomatic ties
Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jeyhun Bayramov, held a meeting today with Paweł Radomski, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, Ambassador Radomski presented a copy of his credentials to Minister Bayramov. The minister congratulated the ambassador on his appointment and wished him success in his diplomatic mission. Both sides expressed confidence that the new envoy would actively contribute to strengthening bilateral relations, Caliber.Az reports via the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
The two officials expressed satisfaction with the current state of Azerbaijan-Poland political dialogue, highlighting that high-level mutual visits and contacts have laid a solid foundation for sustainable cooperation between the two countries.
Discussions emphasised the importance of existing mechanisms such as political consultations between the foreign ministries, the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, and parliamentary working groups in fostering comprehensive and systematic development of bilateral ties.
Economic cooperation was highlighted as a key area for further enhancement, particularly in traditional and green energy sectors, transport, and logistics. Both sides agreed on the need to intensify joint efforts to fully leverage these opportunities. Humanitarian cooperation, including education, culture, sports, and youth exchanges, was also discussed as an area with significant potential for growth.
Minister Bayramov also briefed Ambassador Radomski on the history and current realities of the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict, including recent developments in the post-conflict period. He noted the conclusion of peace agreement negotiations in March 2025 and outlined obstacles to its signing, such as territorial claims against Azerbaijan enshrined in the Armenian constitution and the dissolution of outdated mechanisms like the OSCE Minsk Group.
