Azerbaijan prepares conceptual project for Jabrayil's Horovlu village PHOTO

Azerbaijan has prepared a conceptual project for the Jabrayil district’s Horovlu village, which is planned to be restored.

The project has been prepared in accordance with the "I State Program of Great Return to Azerbaijan’s territories liberated from occupation", Caliber.Az reports per the Service of Rehabilitation, Construction and Management No.1 of East Zangazur.

It was noted that the project was developed taking into account the natural features and according to the principle of sustainable development of the village.

To recap, the main objective of the First State Program of the Great Return to the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, approved by the head of state in November 2022, is to accelerate the creation of public utilities and social infrastructure, construction of housing, development of production and creation of new jobs for the rapid return of the citizens of the Garabagh and East Zangazur economic regions.

Particularly, about 3,500 flats and individual houses are planned to be built in the liberated territories by 2027, where 34,500 families of formerly displaced persons will be settled in stages.

The relevant work has been going on since July 2022. An industrial and transport logistics zone and an agro-park are being created in the Jabrayil district, where a housing stock for production cluster employees will also be formed.

Azerbaijan regained control of Jabrayil City on October 9, 2020, during the Second Garabagh War.

On October 9, 2020, footage released by the Azerbaijan Defence Ministry showed Azerbaijani soldiers raising the flag of Azerbaijan in the centre of the previously occupied city.

In November 2020 Azerbaijani media visited the recently liberated city and reported that except for a newly built military base, no building was left intact since the occupation of the city in 1993.
