Azerbaijan's Chamber of Accounts assists in creating Tajikistan’s strategic plan
The Strategic Plan of the Tajik Accounts Chamber for 2024-2028 has been developed with the support of the Chamber of Accounts of Azerbaijan.
The plan was presented in Dushanbe as part of the Global Initiative for the Accountability of Supreme Audit Institutions, the Tajik Chamber of Accounts said, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Representatives from the Supreme Audit Institutions of Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and various international organisations participated in the presentation. The Strategic Plan was developed using the results of an evaluation conducted by the Chamber of Accounts of Azerbaijan under the Supreme Audit Institutions Performance Measurement Framework. The practical recommendations provided by the Azerbaijani side were incorporated into the plan.
Earlier, Speaker of the Azerbaijani parliament Sahiba Gafarova said that Azerbaijan expresses deep appreciation for Tajikistan's accomplishments.
She made this remark during an international parliamentary conference in Dushanbe commemorating the 30th anniversary of Tajikistan's Constitution.
Gafarova emphasized the long-standing ties between the Azerbaijani and Tajik peoples, highlighting their shared history, culture, religion, and common values.
She recognized the pivotal roles played by Azerbaijan’s national leader, Heydar Aliyev, and Tajikistan’s President, Emomali Rahmon, in fostering these relations. Gafarova pointed out that the negotiations and agreements made during the mutual visits of Presidents Ilham Aliyev and Emomali Rahmon, along with various signed documents, have significantly enhanced bilateral cooperation across all sectors.
