Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan witnesses Israel-Iran missile exchange in late hours of June 14 VIDEO
Missiles were detected flying over the airspace of Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, specifically above the Julfa District, during mutual strikes between Israel and Iran.
Caliber.Az has released video footage capturing the missile trajectories.
On June 13, 2025, Israel launched a large-scale military operation against Iran, marking a significant escalation in their longstanding tensions. Israel's operation, dubbed "Operation Rising Lion," involved extensive airstrikes targeting over 100 strategic sites across Iran, including the Natanz and Fordow uranium enrichment facilities, ballistic missile sites, and key military leadership. The strikes resulted in the deaths of several high-ranking Iranian officials, including Major General Hossein Salami and Major General Mohammad Bagheri.
In response, Iran launched a series of missile and drone attacks on Israel. The Israeli military reported that while many of the incoming projectiles were intercepted, some caused damage and injuries.
The conflict intensified following a wave of Israeli airstrikes targeting Iranian-backed militia positions and weapons depots in Syria and Iraq, aimed at disrupting Tehran’s military entrenchment near Israeli borders.
