Azerbaijan takes part in naval exercises in Türkiye VIDEO
A “Distinguished Observer Day” was held in Türkiye as part of the Eastern Mediterranean 2025 (Doğu Akdeniz-2025, DA-25) naval exercises, according to a statement published by Türkiye’s Ministry of National Defence on X.
The drills involved an Azerbaijani naval landing unit, a United States counter-terrorism team and a Pakistani maritime patrol aircraft, Caliber.Az reports.
Representatives from 19 countries were present to observe the manoeuvres.
Organised by the Turkish Naval Forces Command, the Eastern Mediterranean 2025 exercises began on November 22 and are due to conclude on December 3.
Their main objective is to enhance interoperability between participating units, as well as to assess and strengthen their operational and readiness capabilities.
