Azerbaijan-Türkiye energy forum kicks off in Nakhchivan
The third Azerbaijan-Türkiye Energy Forum and the first international conference entitled “Nakhchivan - Green Energy Zone” have kicked off in Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
The conference participants first visited the monument to Azerbaijani great leader Heydar Aliyev and laid flowers at it, Report informs.
Presidential Plenipotentiary Representative in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Fuad Najafli, Azerbaijani Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov, Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar, Minister of Climate Change and Environment of the United Arab Emirates Mariam Mohammed Al Mheiri and other officials are participating in the conference, which is being held at the Nakhchivan Business Centre.
The event will include plenary sessions on “Energy Transition”, “Green Energy Zone”, “Green Energy Potential of Nakhchivan” and others, as well as speeches by a number of senior officials from Azerbaijan and Türkiye.
The Azerbaijan-Türkiye Energy Forum is being organised to further strengthen strategic energy cooperation within the joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between the two countries. The first forum was held in Baku on December 21-22, 2021 while the second one in Istanbul on October 5-6, 2022.
