Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received newly appointed French Ambassador to Azerbaijan Anne Boillon on December 7.
During the meeting Bayramov accepted copies of the ambassador's credentials and wished success in her future endeavours, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry told Caliber.Az.
The current Azerbaijan-France relations, the regional situation, the normalisation of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, the peace agenda and other issues were discussed during the meeting.
Commenting on the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalisation, Bayramov updated Boillon about the peace agenda, as well as the steps and initiatives being taken by Azerbaijan to promote the process.
He drew attention to the provocations and threats coming from Armenia.
The minister stressed that France’s biased position and the resolutions adopted in the French parliament damage the Azerbaijan-France relations and do not contribute to the peace process.
In turn, Boillon thanked Bayramov for the warm reception and promised to develop relations.
