Azerbaijani MP: I appeal to southern brothers - this victory won’t be limited to only Karabakh

"Today's meeting coincided with the National Revival Day of Azerbaijan. The path leading to national liberation is linked with the name of national leader Heydar Aliyev".

The Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee for Regional Affairs Siyavush Novruzov made the remarks at a meeting of the Azerbaijani Parliament on November 17, APA reports.

The MP noted that President Ilham Aliyev is the only person whose photographs are hung out in the cities of Iran after the Turkmanchay Treaty (of 1828) by saying, "I appeal to the southern brothers - this conquest will not be limited to Karabakh".

Novruzov also suggested that the budget should cover security and defence issues more widely, stating that "there is a smell of gunpowder in the air. Therefore, spending on security and defence should cover broader issues".
