Azerbaijani MP suggests creating safe zone on border with Armenia

Ziyafat Asgarov, chairman of the Azerbaijani parliamentary defence, security, and the anti-corruption committee has proposed to establish a safe zone on Azerbaijan's border with Armenia.

People who will be resettled in those areas should live comfortably, Report quotes him as telling in the parliament session on September 16.

"We suggest that a safe zone be created on the border with Armenia so that our internally displaced persons who will be resettled there feel comfortable," he said.

Asgarov said that Armenia always resorts to provocations.

"Pashinyan talks about something else in Brussels, but when he comes to his country, he acts differently," MP said.
