Azerbaijani president congratulates Indonesia, Gabon on independence days
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has congratulated his Indonesian and Gabonese counterparts on the countries’ independence days.
In a letter addressed to Joko Widodo, President of the Republic of Indonesia, Aliyev pledged commitments to the further development of friendly ties between the two countries, Azertag reports.
“On my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan, I extend my most sincere congratulations and good wishes to you and through you, your friendly people on the occasion of the national holiday of the Republic of Indonesia – Independence Day.
I believe that we will continue to make joint efforts towards the development of Azerbaijan-Indonesia relations in an atmosphere of friendship, and the continuation of our fruitful cooperation both bilaterally and multilaterally, especially within the Non-Aligned Movement and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
On this festive day, I wish you good health, happiness, success in your activities, and the friendly people of Indonesia everlasting peace and prosperity,” the Azerbaijani president said in the letter.
Similarly, President Aliyev congratulated Ali Bongo Ondimba, President of the Republic of Gabon on the country’s Independence Day.
“On my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan, I heartily congratulate you and through you all your people on the occasion of the national holiday of the Republic of Gabon – Independence Day.
I believe that through our joint efforts friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Gabon will continue to develop and our cooperation will continue successfully both bilaterally and multilaterally.
On this remarkable day, I extend my best wishes to you, and wish the friendly people of Gabon peace and prosperity,” the letter reads.
