Azerbaijani president issues decree encouraging inventive activity

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree on stimulating inventive activity.

Under the decree, the state undertakes to finance 50 per cent of the expenses paid by copyright holders, who are citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan, APA reports.

The decree aims to stimulate inventive activity in Azerbaijan and to provide state support in this area for patenting inventions and utility models in foreign countries through the international system of patent cooperation agreements and to maintain them in force for the first three years.
