Azerbaijani president orders roadmap for 2027–2030 development, post-conflict resettlement
President Ilham Aliyev has signed an order initiating the development of Azerbaijan’s Strategy for Socio-Economic Development for 2027–2030 and the Second State Program on the Great Return to territories liberated from occupation.
Under the presidential order, the Cabinet of Ministers has been tasked with drafting both the comprehensive socio-economic strategy and the new phase of the Great Return program, Caliber.Az reports.
The government is also expected to prepare proposals regarding the financial framework for implementing these initiatives, including estimated costs and potential funding sources.
The completed drafts and financial proposals must be submitted to the President within a nine-month period.
The Strategy for Socio-Economic Development for 2027–2030 will outline Azerbaijan’s long-term priorities for sustainable growth, economic diversification, infrastructure development, and human capital advancement.
Meanwhile, the Second State Program on the Great Return aims to support the continued resettlement and revitalization of areas regained during the 2020 Karabakh conflict, reinforcing the country’s efforts to restore normalcy and prosperity in these regions.
This initiative follows the first State Program on the Great Return, which focused on rebuilding infrastructure, restoring public services, and enabling the safe return of internally displaced persons to their ancestral lands.
