Azerbaijani president signs order on conscription
President Ilham Aliyev has signed an order on the conscription of Azerbaijani citizens for fixed-term active military service from April 1 to April 30, 2024, and the dismissal of military personnel of fixed-term active military service.
According to the order, from April 1 to April 30, 2024, citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan born in 2006, who were 18 years old by the day of draft (including this day), as well as citizens born in 1989-2005, aged up to 35 years, who have not completed fixed-term active military service, have no right to deferment from draft or are not exempted from draft, will be called up for fixed-term active military service, Caliber.Az reports.
From April 1 to April 30, 2024, servicemen of fixed-term active military service who have completed the term of service stipulated in Article 38.1.1 of the law "On Military Duty and Military Service" will be discharged to the reserve.
The Cabinet of Ministers has been instructed to take measures provided for by law to implement this order.
