Polish foreign minister blamed for Warsaw’s no-show at Trump–Zelenskyy meeting
The failure of Poland to send a representative to the high-profile meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and US President Donald Trump in Washington has been officially attributed to the reluctance of Poland’s Foreign Minister, Radosław Sikorski, to participate.
Marcin Przydacz, head of the International Policy Bureau Office of the President of Poland, made the disclosure in a statement posted on X, Caliber.

Przydacz revealed that the possibility of Poland joining the “coalition of the willing” alongside Zelenskyy on the US visit had been actively discussed with Sikorski and other officials. However, Sikorski ultimately declined to confirm Poland’s readiness to partake in the diplomatic engagement.
“I wish to inform that discussions regarding Poland’s participation in the joint visit with Volodymyr Zelenskyy to the United States involved, among others, Radosław Sikorski. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland did not express willingness for Poland to join this visit,” Przydacz wrote.
