Turkish minister: Azerbaijani section of Zangezur corridor to be completed within 5 years

Türkiye expects to complete work on its section of the Zangezur corridor within the next four to five years, Turkish Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloğlu has stated.

Speaking to journalists on the sidelines of the SAHA 2026 defence exhibition in Istanbul, the minister said construction work on the project has already begun, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

Uraloğlu noted that he recently met his Azerbaijani counterpart, Rashad Nabiyev, in Germany, where they discussed a number of issues.

According to him, Azerbaijan has also started work on the Nakhchivan section of the corridor.

He stressed that once all construction is completed, the two sides will be able to fully utilise the transport route.
