Azerbaijani student found dead in Munich apartment
Authorities in Germany have launched an investigation into the death of a young Azerbaijani student who was found dead in his apartment in Munich on July 5.
The deceased, identified as Kanan Jamal oglu Safarov, was a first-year university student who had arrived in Germany six months ago. In addition to his studies, he was working as a dental assistant, according to fellow Azerbaijani national Mirnatig Mirsultanov, who resides in Germany and spoke to APA news agency.
Safarov was reported missing after he failed to show up for work on July 5. Concerned colleagues and friends attempted to contact him, and when there was no response at his residence, they entered the apartment through a window. His lifeless body was discovered inside.
Preliminary reports indicate that there were no visible signs of violence on the body. Authorities are exploring several possible causes of death, including food poisoning. An official cause of death has yet to be determined, pending autopsy results.
Local law enforcement has been notified and is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding Safarov’s death. Efforts are underway to repatriate his body to Azerbaijan.
