Azerbaijani tourists spend $107.6 million in Georgia in first half of 2026

Azerbaijani visitors spent $107.6 million in Georgia during the first half of 2026, up 4.9% compared with the same period a year earlier, according to the National Bank of Georgia.

It said tourism revenue from Azerbaijani travellers reached $48.1 million in the first quarter and increased to $59.5 million in the second quarter, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

Overall, Georgia's tourism sector generated $1.931 billion in revenue during the first six months of 2026.

The figures place Azerbaijan among the five largest contributors to Georgia's tourism income during the period.

The European Union, including the United Kingdom, accounted for the largest share of tourism revenue at $335.7 million, or 17.4% of the total.

Russia ranked second with $307.1 million (15.9%), followed by Türkiye with $255.1 million (13.2%).

Israel came fourth, contributing $222.7 million, equivalent to 11.5% of total tourism earnings.
