Note that, on October 23-25 Türkiye and Azerbaijan carried out their three-day Mustafa Kemal Ataturk-2023 joint military exercises.
The drills, which involved 3,000 military personnel from both countries, took place in various locations across Azerbaijan, including the capital Baku, the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, and regions liberated following the 44-day war with Armenia in 2020.
The exercises made use of a range of equipment, including armoured vehicles, artillery, aviation and flight gear, as well as small boats.
The Defence Ministry explained that the exercises aimed to perform a variety of tasks, including the use of artillery, aviation, and other forces in combat operations, organising their coordination, constructing pontoon bridges across rivers, and deploying land troops deep into simulated enemy territory.
