Azerbaijani FM highlights peace initiatives during talks with UN Office chief in Nairobi
During his official visit to Kenya, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has met with Director General of the United Nations Office in Nairobi Zainab Hawa to inform about Azerbaijan’s reconstruction, demining and peace initiatives in the region.
"On the sidelines of his official visit to Kenya, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov had a meeting with Zainab Hawa, Director General of the United Nations Office in Nairobi," Caliber.Az reports, citing the ministry’s message on X.

"Significance of African continent in our foreign policy and in this context, vital role of cooperation with the United Nations, particularly through its Nairobi office was mentioned. Foreign Minister also informed about post-conflict regional situation, as well as Azerbaijan’s reconstruction, demining and peace initiatives in the region," the ministry wrote.
