Baku-Tashkent relations strengthen as officials assess joint agreements
Senior officials from Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan convened in Tashkent to assess the implementation of key agreements reached during the recent high-level summit between the two nations.
Uzbekistan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Bobur Usmanov held talks with Azerbaijani Ambassador to Uzbekistan Huseyn Guliyev, focusing on the outcomes of the Uzbek-Azerbaijani summit held in early July in Baku, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
“Particular attention was paid to reviewing the progress of implementing the agreements reached during the Uzbek-Azerbaijani summit held in early July this year in Baku. The parties exchanged views on the implementation of joint initiatives dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan,” a statement by Uzbek Foreign Ministry noted.
The discussions also highlighted the shared commitment of both countries to further deepen their strategic partnership. Officials reaffirmed their interest in maintaining a structured and forward-looking dialogue, grounded in mutual respect and long-term cooperation.
