Banana greenhouse goes up in flames in southern Türkiye VIDEO

A large fire has broken out in a greenhouse used as a storage facility in the Manavgat district of Antalya Province, Türkiye, causing significant material damage.

The blaze erupted for an as-yet unknown reason in a banana greenhouse that had been converted into a warehouse. Motorcycle spare parts and fuel stored inside accelerated the spread of the flames, allowing the fire to grow rapidly, Caliber.Az reports per Turkish media.

Following the alert, two fire engines and a water tanker belonging to the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality and the Manavgat Forestry Directorate were dispatched to the scene.

The presence of highly flammable materials complicated firefighting efforts, but crews managed to bring the blaze under control after approximately two hours of intensive operations.

After the extinguishing operation was completed, authorities determined that the greenhouse and all materials inside were completely destroyed, resulting in major financial losses.
