Bear sightings surge across Russia’s Krasnoyarsk region VIDEO

Bears are increasingly being spotted in and around populated areas of Russia’s Krasnoyarsk region, prompting authorities to close a tourist area.

In the settlement of Razdolinsk, a bear reportedly killed a dog in front of its owner. The dogs began barking before the predator grabbed one of them and dragged it into the forest.

A female bear and two cubs were also filmed crossing the Achinsk–Krasnoyarsk road.

In the Mansky district, another bear was spotted inside a rubbish container, while a second was seen near a petrol station.

The tourist area in the Ergaki park was closed following the increase in bear sightings near people. The move came after a bear killed a tourist in neighbouring Altai.
