A grand military parade dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and in World War II took place in the Chinese capital, Beijing.
As reported by Caliber.Az, leaders and heads of government from 26 foreign countries took part in the celebrations. Among the honoured guests were the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva.
The parade columns were led by units of the Ground Forces, Navy, and Air Force of the People’s Liberation Army of China (PLA). In the skies over Beijing, military aircraft carried banners with the number “80,” symbolising the anniversary of Victory.

The parade involved more than 10,000 servicemen, hundreds of aircraft, and dozens of military vehicles. A total of 45 formations marched across Tiananmen Square, including Chinese peacekeepers engaged in international operations under the auspices of the United Nations.
Spectators were presented with advanced missile systems, tanks, aircraft, and next-generation unmanned systems. Some of the Air Force’s equipment was showcased to the public for the first time.
The parade also featured 14 military band formations, symbolising the 14 years of war. Leading the procession were 80 buglers, representing the 80th anniversary of Victory.
