Belarus to shoot down violators of air border

Belarus has decided to shoot down violators of the country's air border, said Defence Minister Viktor Khrenin.

"Unfortunately, just since August last year, there have been six violations of the state border. We respond to all violations. When necessary - our combat aviation is raised, anti-aircraft missile forces are brought to the degree of readiness ...," Lenta.ru quotes Khrenin as saying.

According to the minister, If the violations are spotted, of course, immediate shootdown will follow.

Earlier, Assistant Minister of Defence for International Military Cooperation Valeri Revenko reported that since August 2023, Belarus had recorded six cases of violation of the state air border by Poland, Latvia and Lithuania.
